Here on the frontier, There are falling leaves, Although my neighbors are all barbarions…And you? You are a thousand miles away. There are always two cups on my table.

I been cookin’ in the kitchen since I had to stand on a step stool to reach the sink.

My mother went out to work and left a bunch ‘a little kids and came home with father expecting a prepared dinner complete with soup and salad.

I remember being 10 when it was my turn to get that meal on the table.

Needless to say I thank my mother for givin’ me a life long skill which has served me well.

One of the first desserts I ever learned to make is so simple a child could do it…and did.

Now don’t let me hear you chefs out there sayin’,

“I can cook I just don’t bake.”

That is a load of baloney.

Bakin’ is cookin’ like anything else.

It ain’t rocket science!

Now get yourself these simple ingredients and make a dump cake and have yourself a little party because honey…

You are cookin’! (I mean bakin’)

  1. I love this idea! It looks easy enough that even I could do it with no problem. Plus, it’s good for company. In my book, it is a win/win.

    • Jennie this cake/cobbler is just ridiculously easy and good. Another plus about it is if you can’t find berries you can use peaches or apples with the same end results. Thanks for visiting!

Thanks for visiting my blog…Looking forward to coming back by yours for a visit, especially if there’s more cake. 🙂
